Android Operating System Project is the base software that is built for all Android phones. The typical phone you purchase has AOSP with Google Services put on top.
Lineage OS is our Operating System of choice, with no Google Services attached. We use this because it is compatible with the most devices and is the best for entry level users.

VPN & TOR
Protect your internet traffic using a Virtual Private Network.
A VPN essentially tunnels your traffic to a different location that is shared with others which ultimately adds a layer of disguise.
Recommended VPNS – Mullvad VPN & Proton VPN
The Onion Router (TOR) is similar to a VPN but it is free and open source. It relays your traffic through multiple locations instead of just one.
This is only recommended after you have put in all other measures of privacy first.
Note: a VPN is primarily to mask your traffic from your Internet Service Provider not from the websites you visit.
Websites have many techniques to fingerprint who you are.
